Tuesday!!!!!
Today, we are going to begin working with how Reconstruction ended in the United States. Our goal is to finish Reconstruction this week and end our year with how the West grew up into what we know now.
We are going to look at the advantages and disadvantages of Reconstruction in the South. Take out your notebooks and let's divide our papers in two columns, label one Advantages and label the other Disadvantages. I am going to attach a link to your textbook, but if you have yours...you can use it too! Open up to page 513 and begin looking for the advantages & disadvantages as you read, putting them in the appropriate spot. Read to page 518. As you are reading and taking notes, evaluate this process...was it worth it? Did it help the South rebuild? Did African Americans have many opportunities because of it?
Here is a link to the textbook if you do not have it with you:
www.boone.kyschools.us/docs/building/9/chapter%2017.pdf
You are going to take a picture of your notes and upload them to the link at the bottom. We are going to use this tomorrow for the last part of our work, so put it some where safe.
When you are finished, write your 10 sentence entry in your Primary Source Journal.
