IT'S HUMP DAY!!! (Wednesday!)
Alright, yesterday you worked on a pre-reading activity and read your first myth, Maui: the Revelator of Birds! Today, we are going to look at some of the vocabulary we need to know when reading myths. Let's take out our mini-lesson section, skip a line or two, and write today's statement.
Readers of myths must understand and apply the elements with in a myth to better understand the tale that is being told.
Today, we are going to use a power point to dig into the new vocabulary words. Make sure you write this information down underneath your mini-lesson and then we will apply it to our myth about Maui. Take your time while working with the Powerpoint. If I go to quickly, feel free to pause and get the information you need! (Remember this is going to help you out sooo much next year!)
This Powerpoint does have audio, so make sure you are using it in its Slideshow format.
