Happy Monday, 8th Grade!
Today, we are going to begin a project based on a Hero's Journey. Last week, we worked with character archetypes and 'Moana'. This week we are going to use the lesson on a Hero's Journey and apply it to create a comic strip! Today's mission is going to be choosing a myth you want to work with and writing out the Hero's Journey.
Follow the steps below for today's assignment.

To Dos:
- Think of the myths that we learned throughout this unit, 'Moana', 'Maui: The Lost Son', and 'Maui: The Revelator of Birds'. Here are links to the stories:
- 'Maui: The Revelator of Birds':
- 'Maui: The Lost Son':
- 'Moana' (use the movie!)
- Pick of the myth you enjoyed the most.
- Open to your Writing About Reading section and write down the parts of the Hero's Journey. (If you need to look back at your notes, feel free.)
- Remember there are 12 parts to the Hero's Journey. You should have 12 parts.
- Take a picture of your notes and attach it to today's lesson.
- Tomorrow, we will begin transforming your notes into a comic strip!
