Welcome to Wednesday Everyone!
Today, we are going to continue with the Article II, the Executive Branch. You guys had some great opinions in relation to impeachment yesterday. Today, we are going to look at the President's Cabinet.
Let's take out our notebooks and take some notes:
- The Constitution does not set up a group of advisors for the president
- George Washington felt he needed advisors (he did not know everything)
- He appointed a few men to help him out and called them his Cabinet
- Over the years the Cabinet has gained more departments (15 total)
- The newest department is Homeland Security
- The head of each department is known as a Secretary
- George Washington felt he needed advisors (he did not know everything)
